  7. Provides workstations with X.25 communications to remote hosts and information
  8. services. In addition, users can log in from X.25 networks to the UNIX
  9. workstation. Standard interfaces are used such as cu, uucp, and getty. OSI
  10. applications and TLI-based applications can also use the OSI PC Gateway to
  11. connect to X.25 networks. The OSI protocols run in the EiconCard, thus freeing
  12. CPU cycles and significantly reducing memory requirements. OSI Gateway makes
  13. use of the EiconCard, an intelligent communications adapter, which supports up
  14. to 254 simultaneous connections, and/or sessions. One OSI Gateway can support
  15. up to four EiconCards. OSI Gateway is also a platform for OSI packages and
  16. includes X.3/X.28/X.29 PAD emulation software as tty drivers.
